Summary
- Want skills to turn innovative ideas into tangible results?
- Need your teams to get more than one good thing done at a time?
- Hunger for techniques to help people self-organize and succeed without losing sight of the big picture?
- Long to wring out some of the inefficiency of typical projects?
This course helps everyone start a new project while learning project and portfolio management skills. Using the participant’s new project as a primary focus, we will learn and apply a simple process for envisioning, scoping and leading a project. Next we’ll address the fundamentals of project planning. With the foundation of a plan in hand, we will turn our attention to the people who are doing the work: how to help them align and take ownership, discover and mitigate risk, and how to track their progress. As project collaborators we will learn a proactive approach, trying to prevent trouble rather than reacting to it.
