Steaming Kettle Consulting is offsetting carbon emissions generated by all its operations, including business travel and Portland-area commuting to client job sites.
Working on a yearly basis with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, Steaming Kettle buys BEF Carbon Offsets, which are part of the Climate Action Reserve system. Starting in 2008, Steaming Kettle has purchased carbon credits that exceed estimated usage by at least 10%.
The 2016 offsets arise from a methane-recapture project at the Eagle Point Landfill in Ball Ground, Georgia.
